Emeritus Professor of Jazz and Wind Instruments at the South African College in Cape Town, world-famous multi-instrumentalist (plays, among others, clarinet, flute, saxophone and oboe), first obtaining the title of Doctor of Arts Musical Studies in Jazz at the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston), Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy (OSI – Ordine della Stella d’Italia)… and these are but tiny parts of what this artist is, nor does remotely do justice to his genuine beauty as a human being. We had the honor of meeting him in his splendid residence in Fermo and were treated by him and his lovely wife, Diane, his life partner and his manager, with the warmth and welcome normally extended to friends.
