What kind of instrument is Clarisoon?
Clarisoon is a single-reed woodwind instrument, just like its classical predecessor: the clarinet.
It is an acoustic instrument powered by the M.A.W.I.P. platform, which provides an assisted simplified fingering system while preserving the authentic sound and playing characteristics of a traditional acoustic clarinet. At the same time, it eliminates the need to learn different fingering patterns for the clarinet's twelfth register.
It can also be purchased with the optional MIDI mouthpiece, expanding its creative and expressive possibilities.
How do you play it?
Clarisoon is a clarinet in every respect, so learning to control your breath and mastering the single-reed embouchure are key to playing it.
Does clarisoon have the same limited range as a recorder?
No. Clarisoon is a true clarinet, including its full range of three and a half octaves.
Who can play it?
Thanks to its simplified fingering system, anyone can start playing Clarisoon in a short time—from students and enthusiasts to multi-instrumentalists and musicians discovering the clarinet for the first time.

How much does clarisoon weigh?
Clarisoon weighs approximately 1.1 kg, including the lithium battery.
Does clarisoon require power?
Yes. As an electronically assisted instrument, Clarisoon requires a power supply. You can operate it either using the included AC power adapter or an external battery pack for greater freedom of movement.
What should i do when i've finished playing?
Once you've finished playing, we recommend switching the instrument off using the dedicated power switch. After the battery has been fully charged, disconnect the power adapter to avoid unnecessary power fluctuations.
How do I clean Clarisoon?
We recommend cleaning the instrument after every playing session.
