Clarisoon

The clarinet with german recorder-style fingering

Meet Clarisoon: the MAWIP clarinet that reimagines the learning and playing experience from the ground up.

Thanks to a fingering system inspired by the German recorder system and enhanced with elements borrowed from the saxophone, Clarisoon removes one of the biggest challenges of the traditional clarinet: the twelfth-based fingering system.

Unlike most wind instruments, where fingering patterns repeat at the octave, the clarinet overblows at the twelfth, requiring a different and less intuitive fingering logic, for the upper register.

With Clarisoon, musicians can focus on making music instead of memorizing complex fingerings.

Clarisoon is coming!

Endless sounds with integrated MIDI

Switch seamlessly between acoustic and MIDI mode in real time by simply playing through the dedicated MIDI mouthpiece. To return to acoustic mode, just press two buttons, without interrupting the musical flow.

Why it's revolutionary

Beyond the logic of twelfths

Octaves instead of twelfths! A major advantage for musicians coming from other instruments who want to approach the clarinet without having to master one of its most demanding technical challenges.

Fingering that speaks "sax"

Two keys inspired by the saxophone - B♭ below the B key and E♭ below the D key - make playing easier and the fingering more natural, intuitive, and comfortable.

Intelligent trills, always musical

Greater ease of performance with consistently optimal musical results. Clarisoon automatically recognizes trills that traditionally require alternative fingerings and applies the most effective solution to ensure both simplicity and sound quality.

Original fingering, with a new simplicity

The original clarinet fingering logic remains available if you prefer it, while complex alternative fingerings and the twelfth-based fingering system are simplified.

Sharps and flats with just two keys

All accidentals are controlled using only two dedicated keys, dramatically reducing fingering complexity.

Instant transposition with guided feedback

Transpose the instrument instantly using a button or the companion app. The OLED display always shows the selected key, giving you immediate confirmation and complete confidence. Less uncertainty, more focus on the music.

The app that makes everything easier

Assisted learning, instrument settings, guided transposition, diagnostics, and software updates - all from your smartphone.

Here's what players are saying...

Clarisoon is just the second step toward a universal fingering system for the entire woodwind family. Yesterday it was the bassoon, today it's the clarinet... who knows what tomorrow will bring!

MAWIP represents an incredibly exciting future for wind instruments. Mechatronics makes it possible to use the same fingering system across instruments that are fundamentally different from one another, while offering an unprecedented level of playing ease. And that's not even mentioning the versatility of switching seamlessly between acoustic and MIDI sound. Finally, the fact that this is an entirely Italian project makes me especially proud.
